Be a Part of the Extreme Home Repair Blitz on September 28

Habitat for Humanity, the City of Newport News and the City of Hampton are joining forces to transform the community on Saturday, September 28.  During the first ever Extreme Home Repair Blitz, volunteers will help elderly, veteran, disabled and low-income homeowners in the Wythe neighborhood of Hampton and the bordering communities in Newport News by making repairs to the outside of their homes.

Get Involved

  • Interested homeowners in designated areas can complete the online form or download an application.  *All labor and materials are provided by community sponsors and volunteers to eligible homeowners for a minimal fee, possibly FREE!
  • Potential sponsors can get more information by visiting the Home Repair Blitz Sponsorship page.
  • Interested volunteers can register using the Volunteer Hub website.

The Extreme Home Repair Blitz provides services to the exterior of homes, including: repairs to ramps, rails, and porches; exterior painting and siding; window repairs; power washing & debris removal; outdoor clean-up; and more!  To learn more about the Blitz and Habitat for Humanity, visit the event website.
