Newport News Crime Line – Week of May 20th, 2019

Business Robbery 

I’m MPO Brandon Maynard.  The Newport News Police Department needs your help to solve a recent business robbery.

On May 16th, 2019 at 10:46 PM, Newport News Police were dispatched to the BP Station, located in the 13700 block of Warwick Boulevard in reference to a robbery from business. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the two employees inside who stated a white male wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, produced a firearm and demanded money from the register to be placed in a red bag. The subject took an undisclosed amount of money and fled the business on foot. There were no reported injuries and the investigation remains ongoing.
