Bank Robbery

I’m Assistant Public Information Officer, MPO Brandon Maynard.  The Newport News Police need your help to solve a recent bank robbery.

On March 20, 2016, at 9:59 AM, an unknown man entered the 1rst Advantage Federal Credit Union in the 12400 block of Warwick Boulevard, robbed a bank customer, then robbed the bank.  We need your help to identify this man and bring him to justice.

The man displayed a handgun, approaching two tellers and a female customer, who was opening an account with her money lying open on a desk. The suspect is described as a black male with a medium complexion, 5’9” – 6’0” in height, 30-40 years of age, of medium build.  He was last seen wearing a green short-sleeved shirt with a white/yellow emblem, khaki pants, a long-sleeved black shirt, white shoes, black mask, and pink gloves; and was armed with a black/chrome handgun.

The suspect took cash from one teller, and the customer. He fled the bank northbound on foot. There were no injuries in this robbery incident.
