Business Robbery

Iā€™m Police Dispatcher Recruit, Amanda Rosenbaum.  Newport News Police need your help to solve a business robbery.

On January 17, 2017 at 10:02 AM police responded to the Metro PCS store located at 5101-B Jefferson Avenue to calls of a robbery. We need your help to identify the robbery suspect and bring him to justice.

The clerk had just opened the store for business when an unknown black male entered the store. The man was about 6ā€™0" tall, with a skinny-build, wearing a blue hoodie, black jeans, and a ski mask. He implied he had a firearm and forced the clerk to the register, taking cash. He then ordered the clerk into a bathroom and took cell phones and store deposits. During the robbery, the clerk fled the business and called police. The man fled the business on foot southbound. Several thousands of dollars in store merchandise and cash was taken.
