In spring 2016, the City of Newport News conducted the first in a bi-annual Community Survey series to obtain feedback from residents on City services, parks, neighborhoods, public safety, quality of life, economic development, and much more. The survey results will be used to help measure current performance in delivering services to residents, identify community strengths and weaknesses, and develop an action plan for the future. In its first year, 2016 results provide baseline data to compare the City’s progress in over fifty identified services as well as track resident perceptions of other important community characteristics. Below are links to the survey results and the presentation given to City Council. The next community survey will be conducted in 2018.
