A small portion of traffic associated with the development is expected to travel through the intersection of Brick Kiln Boulevard and Kiln Creek Parkway. There has been a concern that the additional traffic would create significant congestion which has been subsequently reviewed. The intersection currently operates at a Level of Service B and will remain at that level following the opening of the development as shown below. The traffic volumes and levels of service for each movement are included in the text boxes sorted by approach. Levels of Service are defined by the length of delay at an intersection and range from A (less than 10 seconds) to F (more than 80 seconds).
Along Brick Kiln Boulevard the peak hour traffic is approximately 600 cars each way before construction and rises to approximately 700 cars each way after construction. This represents approximately 25% of the roadway capacity, and therefore does not significantly affect travel time.
Closer to the development, the intersection of Brick Kiln Boulevard and Providence Road currently operates at a Level of Service B and will remain at a Level of Service B after construction.
