The Newport News Fire Department’s Administrative Section is located on the 6th of City Hall. The Administrative section is responsible for the administrative functions of the department to include budgeting, payroll, human resources management, records management and public information. Residents are able to contact Fire Administration for copies of reports, handle billing for emergency medical services (EMS), as well as address any other issue or question pertaining to the fire department. The Administrative Section houses the offices of the Fire Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief -EMS, Battalion Chief- Support Services, Battalion Chief-Public Affairs, Battalion Chief- Special Operations and EMS billing.
