Voter Registrar
Voter Registrar's Home Page
The Voter Registrar is appointed by the Electoral Board, who, in turn, is appointed by the Circuit Court Judges in the City. The Registrar registers voters and updates records of those voters for changes of address, etc. The Voter Registrar also administers elections with the Electoral Board whose primary responsibility is to oversee elections (move precinct lines, ensure ballots are properly printed, train election officials and visit all election precincts to solve any problems that might occur). On Election Day, the Voter Registrar is in charge of particular voter problems (such as change of address, etc.) at the precincts.
For information, visit the main office in City Hall from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, or call the number listed in our Contact Information on the right. Additional hours of operation are available upon request at the main office.
