Department Overview
The Department of Vehicle & Equipment Services is responsible for managing the City's 1,420 unit fleet. The fleet includes a wide range of vehicle types including motorcycles, cars, light and heavy trucks, fire apparatus, and a variety of construction and specialty equipment. The department works closely with the City Manager's Office and all City departments to ensure that the appropriate numbers and types of equipment are available to meet the City's current and future service priorities and that all fleet costs are minimized.
