| Funding sources for the Stormwater division are "user related" fees. |
The Stormwater Management Fee was implemented in FY 1993. The Stormwater Management Fee supports the operating and capital budgets for the Drainage Cost Centers. Revenues are generally consistent, because the fee is based on total impervious area. Should program expenses increase to the point that current Equivalent Residential Unit (ERU) rates do not support the program, rates would have to be increased. The maintenance program and its components are mandated by our Virginia Pollution Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) permit. |
