What To Do With Unwanted TVs and Computer Monitors

To avoid the shattering of glass and the resulting safety issues of glass chards on lawns or streets, items containing glass are not collected as part of your weekly bulk collection service. This includes TVs with glass viewing screens.

To avoid the shattering of glass and the resulting safety issues of glass chards on lawns or streets, items containing glass are not collected as part of your weekly bulk collection service. This includes TVs with glass viewing screens.

Disposal options include:
  1. Delivering the TV to the ARC (2520 58th Street, Hampton, VA) where it might be refurbished or parts recycled Planet E Recycling Solutions (www.arcvap.org)
  2. Placing the TV in the green trash cart if the TV will fit in the cart with the lid securely closed
  3. Delivering the TV to the Denbigh Dropoff Facility (Residential Waste Drop-Off and Composting Facility)
  4. Delivering the TV at the quarterly Household Hazardous Waste / Electronic Waste Collection event
