CITY OFFICES TO CLOSE FOR VETERAN'S DAY

Newport News City offices will be closed Wednesday, November 11, in observance of the Veteran's Day holiday.

Newport News City offices will be closed Wednesday, November 11, in observance of the Veteran's Day holiday. This includes City Hall, City offices at City Center at Oyster Point, all public libraries, Newport News Waterworks' customer services offices, the Public Works Operations Center and both locations of the Treasurer's Office and Commissioner of the Revenue's Office (City Hall and Denbigh). The Newport News Drop-Off Center and Compost Facility (i.e., landfill) will also be closed on Veteran’s Day.

Garbage, bulk waste, and recycling will be collected as scheduled on Monday, November 9 and Tuesday, November 10. However, Wednesday’s collection will take place on Thursday and Thursday’s will take place on Friday that week.
