CITY OFFICES TO CLOSE FOR VETERAN'S DAY

Newport News City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 11, in observance of the Veteran's Day holiday.

Newport News City offices will be closed on Thursday, November 11, in observance of the Veteran's Day holiday. This includes City Hall, City offices at City Center at Oyster Point, all public libraries, Newport News Waterworks' customer services offices, the Public Works Operations Center and both locations of the Treasurer's Office and Commissioner of the Revenue's Office (City Hall and Denbigh). The Newport News Drop-Off Center and Compost Facility (i.e., landfill) will also be closed on Veteran’s Day.

Garbage, bulk waste, and recycling will be collected as scheduled on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of that week; however, Thursday’s collections will take place on Friday, November 12.
