Libraries add notary, fax services

All four full-service libraries now have fax services

Library patrons now have fax services available at each of the four full-service libraries in Newport News. And notary services are now available at the West Avenue Library and Public Law Library.

Library patrons now have fax services available at each of the four full-service libraries in Newport News. And notary services are now available at the West Avenue Library and Public Law Library.

To send an outgoing fax costs $1.50 for the first page and $1 for each additional page. The fax machine accepts debit and credit cards, and prepaid fax cards are available for purchase from the circulation desk. The fax machines do not accept incoming faxes, and fax service is not available at the Law Library.

Notary services are free with a picture ID. Services are available 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday and Wednesday through Friday, and noon to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesdays at the West Avenue Library, 2907 West Ave., Newport News.

Notary services are available 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, at the Public Law Library, 2501 Washington Ave., Newport News.

Patrons are advised to call the Library before arriving to ensure that a notary is available. Call West Avenue Library at 757-247-8505 and Public Law Library at 757-926-8678.
