Teens and Adults Talk About Tough Topics

Real Conversations about Difficult Issues

Beginning February 25th, the Newport News Office on Children, Youth and Families Neighborhood Leadership Institute will host five forums featuring “real conversations between teens and adults about difficult topics.”  Youth and Adult panelists will discuss What Teens want Adults to Know, Teen Parents and Parents of Teens, Mental Health Issues Faced By Youth, Juvenile Justice in Newport News, and the Changing World of Work. 

 

The forums will be held from Thursdays, 6:30 pm. to 8:00 pm beginning February 25th through March 25, 2010.  Each session will be held at the Main Street Library, 110 Main Street, Newport News, Va. 23601. All forums are free and open to the public.
