NEIGHBORHOOD CLEANUP EVENT SCHEDULED FOR MARCH
The City of Newport News is holding Neighborhood Cleanup 2010 during the month of March and encourages residents to take pride in their community by cleaning up their yards, cleaning out their garages, fixing up their houses and sprucing up their neighborhood.

The City of Newport News is holding Neighborhood Cleanup 2010 during the month of March and encourages residents to take pride in their community by cleaning up their yards, cleaning out their garages, fixing up their houses and sprucing up their neighborhood. During March, each are of the city will receive an extra bulk waste collection on a Saturday to help citizens in their efforts to keep Newport News clean. Additionally, assistance is available for elderly and disabled citizens in hauling waste from their yards to the curb. Residents who have vehicles they would like to dispose of may contact the City to obtain a list of organizations that accept vehicle donations.
The additional Saturday collections will coincide with residents’ regular bulk waste collection schedule as outlined below.
