Those who are in the market for a job can find help through a new club and new workshops starting at Pearl Bailey Library in April.

Through the new, free Job Seekers’ Club, Library staff members will provide resources to help adults explore jobs, network with other club members, gain insight from local companies and learn career strategies.

The group will meet quarterly beginning 11 a.m.-12:30 p.m., Monday, April 25, at Pearl Bailey Library. Other meetings are planned for July 25, Oct. 24, and Dec. 19, at Pearl Bailey Library.

The Library also is introducing new monthly workshops. In these Break-Out Sessions, staff will help participants create email accounts, complete worry-free applications online, and design their resumes to showcase their strengths. The first Break-Out Sessions are 3-5 p.m., Tuesday, April 26, and Monday, May 9, at Pearl Bailey Library.

No registration is required for either the Job Seekers’ Club or the Break-Out Sessions.

Part of the Newport News Public Library System, Pearl Bailey Library is located at 2510 Wickham Ave., Newport News, VA 23607. Please call 757-247-8677 for more information.
