CHRISTMAS HOLIDAY

Newport News City offices will be closed on Thursday, December 24 and Friday, December 25 for the Christmas holiday.

All Newport News public libraries will also be closed on Thursday, December 24 and Friday, December 25. Normal operating hours will resume on Saturday, December 26.

Garbage, recycling and bulk waste collections for the holiday will be on schedule.

The Citizen’s Drop-Off and Compost Facility (landfill), located at 550 Atkinson Way, will be closed on Friday, December 25 and Saturday, December 26.

NEW YEAR’S HOLIDAY

All offices will be closed on Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1 for the New Year’s holiday.

All Newport News public libraries will also be closed on Thursday, December 31 and Friday, January 1. Normal operating hours will resume on Saturday, January 2.
