Main Street Library, Grissom Library closed on Wednesday

Main Street Library, Grissom Library closed on Wednesday; Bookmobile available

Grissom Library and Main Street Library are closed due to a lack of power.

Main Street Library and Grissom Library will be closed on Wednesday, Aug. 31, because of power outages. Other Newport News Public Libraries are operating on normal schedules. The School Bus Safety program planned for Wednesday at Grissom Library has been canceled.

The Library System’s Bookmobile will not be making its regular stops, but it will be parked Wednesday in front of Main Street Library and open for users to check out and return Library materials. The Bookmobile will be available at Main Street Library 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday.
