Grissom Library closed on Thursday; Main Street Library to open at noon

Library closings due to lack of electrical power are announced.

Grissom Library will be closed Thursday, Sept. 1, and remain closed until further notice because of a lack of power.

Main Street Library will open at noon on Thursday, Sept. 1, and remain open until 9 p.m. Main Street Library will return to regular operating hours on Friday, Sept. 2, provided power is available.

Other Newport News Public Libraries are operating on normal schedules. The Library System will be closed on Monday, Sept. 5, for Labor Day.
