Books, more for sale June 17-19 at Main Street Library

The book sale is noon-6 p.m., Thursday, June 17; 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday, June 18; and 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, June 19, at Main Street Library, 110 Main Street, Newport News, VA 23601. A special preview sale for members of the Friends of the Newport News Public Library is 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday, June 17.

Get great deals on gently used books and videos while supporting the Library when you shop at the Friends of the Newport News Public Library’s June book sale.

The book sale is noon-6 p.m., Thursday, June 17; 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Friday, June 18; and 10 a.m.-3 p.m., Saturday, June 19, at Main Street Library, 110 Main Street, Newport News, VA 23601. A special preview sale for members of the Friends of the Newport News Public Library is 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday, June 17.

Thousands of fiction and nonfiction books are available, including collections of children’s books and VHS tapes, cookbooks, craft books, textbooks, collectibles and out-of-print books.

Prices for the book sale are $1 for hardbacks, CDs and DVDs; 50 cents for paperbacks and VHS tapes; and 25 cents for children’s books. Collectibles and current bestsellers are individually priced.

The Friends of the Newport News Public Library System also operate the Bookstore, which is located inside Main Street Library. It is open Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m.-8 p.m., Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. and Sunday
2-4 p.m. It is closed on holidays. Items for sale include gently used books, DVDs, bestsellers and more.

All sales support the Newport News Public Library System. When you buy a book from the Bookstore or through a book sale, you are not only saving money, but also helping to reduce waste and supporting the Library System and your community.
