About 85 Pearl Bailey Library patrons had the opportunity to meet a New York Times best-selling author on May 15.
Kimberla Lawson Roby, author of "Be Careful What You Pray For" and "A Deep Dark Secret," among others, presented a book talk and signed books.
The program was sponsored by Main Street Library, Friends of the Newport News Public Library and Pearl Bailey Library.
