~Armed Robbery~

Week of December 2, 2007

Newport News Police need your help to solve the armed robbery of a coin laundry.

On Sunday November 25, 2007 at about 10:15 pm, two unknown men entered the Wash Pub Laundromat located at 15501 Warwick Blvd., and robbed the business, taking cash. We need your help to solve this armed robbery.

The clerk, a 35-year-old Newport News woman, was closing the Laundromat for the evening when the two men appeared and asked to quickly dry an item of clothing. Once inside one man produced a knife and implied a hand gun forcing the clerk to the floor while the other took the store’s cash.

Suspect #1 is described as b/m in his 40’s, about six foot tall - 170 lbs., dark-skinned with a black bandana over his face and a knife.

Suspect #2 is described as a w/m in his 20’s, around 5’5”- 150 lbs., also with a bandana covering his face. Both wore all dark clothing, and fled the Laundromat getting into an older, silver colored, box style car driven by a another white male.
