~HOMICIDE~

I’m Newport News Police Public Information Office Intern Ryan Kashin. Newport News Police need your help to solve a recent homicide.

On July 16, 2014, at approximately 8:16am, Police Communications received a call in reference to a suspicious vehicle in the 100 block of Ash Avenue. When Officers arrived, they located a man lying down in the driver’s seat of a silver sedan.

The investigation revealed 36-year-old James Arthur Miller, Jr, of the 400 block of Greenbriar Avenue in Hampton was deceased in the car. At this time detectives have not determined a motive or suspect(s) description, but are investigating the incident as a homicide.
