Organized Crime Division

The Organized Crime Division has primary responsibility for the investigation of narcotic, prostitution, and vice crimes as well as investigating career repeat offenders and federal firearm offenses.

OCD detectives work very closely with criminal justice agencies of the state and federal governments and surrounding local jurisdictions to combat the flow of drugs into our community and to apprehend those responsible for the possession, manufacture, sale or distribution of controlled substances.

Our working relationships with federal law enforcement agencies has produced effective teams to pursue criminal organizations, violent repeat offenders, inter-state and international drug operations, as well as those who illegally possess, use, or purchase firearms.  We are partner with Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA), Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF), and Virginia State Police (VSP) to form task forces that are responsible for the investigation of major drug enterprises.

Organized Crime detectives are dedicated and committed to removing the blight of narcotics from our community.
