SPECIAL OPERATIONS SECTION

The Special Operations Section consists of coordinating the department's specialty units and resources to provide professional responses to the community. The division commander works to ensure the units (K-9, Community Services, S.C.A.T., Marine Unit, Chaplain's Unit, Auxilary Police Officers, Field Training Officers, Tactical and Crisis Intervention Teams, and Honor Guard) receive training, equipment and materials to maintain the certifications required by a professional law enforcement agency. This division also performs towing enforcement, taxicab enforcement, licensing and inspection, and wrecker inspections and monitoring. |
