The Citizen Police Academy for Youth gives boys and girls between 14 and 17 years of age an inside look at local law enforcement through a series of a variety of subjects pertaining to law enforcement. The youth will be instructed by police executives, veteran police officers, civilians, and volunteers. |

| Purpose Increase understanding through education and interaction with members of the Police Department
Give young citizens the opportunity to learn why police officers "can" and "can not" do certain things
