Citizen Police Academy For Youth (C.P.A.Y.)

The Citizen Police Academy for Youth gives boys and girls between 14 and 17 years of age an inside look at local law enforcement through a series of a variety of subjects pertaining to law enforcement.  The youth will be instructed by police executives, veteran police officers, civilians, and volunteers.

Details of the Academy

Purpose
Increase understanding through education and interaction with members of the Police Department
Give young citizens the opportunity to learn why police officers "can" and "can not" do certain things
Build lasting and productive partnerships between our Police Department and community
