CITIZEN POLICE ACADEMY ALUMNI ASSOCIATION (C.P.A.A.A.)

The Citizen Police Academy Alumni Association (C.P.A.A.A.) forges an ongoing interactive program of support and understanding between the NNPD and the citizens of Newport News. All three Academy graduates are eligible for membership into CPAAA. The academy shall provide a forum wherein police may benefit from the citizen's perspective of the efficiency and the quality of policing services provided.

Citizens shall be provided the opportunity to learn from personal experience the challenges faced by law enforcement officers policing in today's environment. Both the community and the police will share a commitment to improving the responsiveness of the Newport News Police Department in resolving community policing problems. That through this shared commitment, our community may enjoy an improved quality of life. |

Meetings are held on the 4th Thursday of each month
All 3 Academy graduates are eligible for membership into C.P.A.A.A. |
