CENTRAL PRECINCT

Captain Franklin is the commander of the Central Precinct, which runs from South Avenue north to Bland Boulevard on Jefferson Avenue and Oyster Point Road on Warwick Boulevard. Three shifts patrol the central section of the city, which is experiencing rapid commercial and residential growth.

Within the Central Precinct we have the responsibility for calls for service and we investigate property crimes. All crimes against persons (homicide, murder, robbery, aggravated assaults, sexual assaults and high-dollars fraud) are investigated by the Major Crimes Division.

We are a 24-hour, seven days a week operation, but our front desk serves citizens from Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
