Commemoration Advisory Commission
It is the Policy of the City of Newport News to honor individuals that have benefited the City by extraordinary efforts with investments of their time, talents, and/or financial resources. As such, the City’s Commemoration Advisory Commission (CAC) will consider proposals, seek citizen input, and recommend to City Council proposed names or renaming of City public facilities within established criteria. Facilities under the authority of the Newport News Schools Board are excluded from the purview of the CAC.
There will be a Commemoration Advisory Commission Meeting held on October 23, 2009 at 12:00pm in the York Room Located in Fountain Plaza Two (700 Town Center Drive)
