CU-12-294, Harborview Associates L L P (Continued from Planning Commission meeting of February 1, 2012). Requests a conditional use permit to allow for the operation of a banquet/function hall located at 200 Old Marina Lane and zoned M1 Light Industrial. The Parcel No. is 190.00-02-78. COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT, CHANGE OF ZONING AND SPECIAL EXCEPTION FOR THE MARINERS’ MUSEUM

Framework for the Future 2030 Comprehensive Plan Amendment (PLN-12-07)
The proposed amendment would change the Framework for the Future 2030 comprehensive plan land use map from neighborhood commercial and parks and recreation to community facilities for property located at 11141 Warwick Boulevard and a portion of 100 Museum Drive having a cumulative total of 3.36 acres. CZ-12-316, The Mariners’ Museum. Requests to change the zoning from P1 Park to C1 Retail Commercial to allow for an expansion of The Newport Convalescent Center, which would include the addition of an assistant living component and a rehabilitation center on an approximate 0.93 acre portion of a 463.90 acre property located at 100 Museum Drive and adjacent to 11141 Warwick Boulevard. The Framework for the Future 2030 comprehensive plan recommends parks and recreation for the property. An amendment to the comprehensive plan to change the land use designation to community facilities accompanies this request. The Parcel No. is 231.00-01-01. S. E. 2855, The Mariners’ Museum. Requests a special exception to reduce the required 20-foot transitional buffer area to zero along the northerly boundary line of a lease parcel leased by Virginia Health Services, LLC, owners of The Newport convalescent center located on the adjacent property at 11141 Warwick Boulevard, in order to construct a parking lot for a proposed building expansion of the convalescent center. A comprehensive plan amendment and a change of zoning accompanies this request. The Parcel No. is 231.00-01-01. CHANGE OF ZONING AND CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR M KAL ENTERPRISES LLC

CZ-12-317, M Kal Enterprises LLC. Requests to change the zoning from C1 Retail Commercial to C2 General Commercial with proffers to allow for a small motor vehicle repair and service facility located at 13622 Warwick Boulevard. The Framework for the Future 2030 comprehensive plan recommends community commercial for the property. The Parcel No. is 129.00-05-20.
