Youth Programs is an out-of-school time care operation that prides itself on moving towards its goal of becoming the premier destination for before and after school activities. The program is structured to create a caring and fostering environment that will help children grow as they spend time playing, learning important life lessons, and getting involved in group games. We are all about convenience which is why we have chosen to primarily operate in elementary schools (although we are also in our convenient community centers!). This way here there are no cross town excursions. You can simply drop your child off and have peace of mind knowing that from sun up to sun down we will keep your child safe and active while in our care.

Youth Programs knows that today's world is full of competing stimuli simply vying for your child's attention. We make sure that all of our activities are structured in accordance with the Virginia Department of Child Services guidelines. We take great pains to keep our programs' licenses up to date so that you can be comfortable in knowing that you're getting quality care at an affordable price.

Q: What schools does Youth Programs operate in?

A: Locations are: BC Charles, Deer Park, Greenwood, Hilton, Jenkins, Kiln Creek, Nelson (AM)/Epes (PM), Palmer, Richneck (AM)/McIntosh (PM), Riverside (AM)/Hidenwood (PM), Sanford, Saunders, Sedgefield, Yates

Q: Are there any other locations?

A: Yes; we also operate a teen program at Brittingham-Midtown Community Center and Mary Passage Middle School. There is also a KIDS Program (3—5) at Denbigh Early Childhood Center and Brittingham-Midtown Community Center. There is also a therapeutic program available for kids 2.5-21 years at Denbigh Community Center.

Q: How do I register? A: You can download the registration form, fill it out, and bring it in to 700 Town Center Plaza Suite 320, Newport News, VA 23606 or, if your child is registered with us already, you can turn it in to your regular Youth Programs site.

Q: How much does the program cost?

A: That depends on the option that you choose. Youth Programs has AM only (6:50-school starts), PM only (school close till 6:30), AM and PM, AM + Wednesdays, and Full Day (KIDS) programs with prices starting at $39/week.

The cost structure per week is:

KIDS Program (Brittingham Midtown and Denbigh Early Childhood Center):

Before School — $39

After School — $54

AM and PM — $74

AM and Wednesdays — $54

Full Day (3—4 Year Olds) — $89

Elementary Schools:

Before School — $39

After School — $54

AM and PM — $74

AM and Wednesdays — $54

Therapeutic Recreation:

Before School — $55

After School — $70

AM and PM — $90
