Public Boat Ramps - Saltwater

Denbigh Park
Hours: 5:00 a.m. - 10:00 p.m. located at the end of Denbigh Boulevard, provides access to the Warwick River.

Peterson's Yacht Basin
Hours: 24 hours. Located at 16 th Street and Oak Avenue, provides access to the Hampton Harbor.

Huntington Park

Hours: 24 hours. Located near the entrance to the James River Bridge on Mercury Boulevard provides access to the James River.

Paddleboats, Canoes and Jon Boat Rentals

Boat rentals are available daily, year-round at the Newport News Park Campsite Office and on weekends and holidays during summer months at Lee Hall and Harwood’s Mill (jon boats only) concessions. Paddles, oars, and personal flotation devices are provided. You must be at least 16 years of age to rent watercraft.
