Newport News TV Programs
City Council Meetings:
Complete live coverage of all scheduled City Council Meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of every month plus replays. City Council programming, in its entirety, will always pre-empt any regularly scheduled programming on the channel.
On City Council Weeks: “Live” Tuesday 7 PM.
Replays: Thursday 7PM; Friday 7 AM & every Sunday at noon
Inside Newport News:
The City’s bi-weekly News Program that takes you to the source of city information,Business news, local events and important municipal information are included among manyregular features. Its local news and information you won’t get anywhere else. plays many times every day on Cox channel 48 and Verizon 19.
Crimeline/Behind the Badge:
A weekly program produced with the Newport News Police Department and the Peninsula Crimeline that goes behind the scenes at the agency and highlights current fugitives and offers rewards for anonymous tips.
Newport News in Review:
Newport News in Review, is an award winning, monthly news magazine program hosted by Aaron Pritchett, as he takes you to some pretty unique places throughout the city and brings you in-depth news, information and positive stories that you can see no where else.
What’s New In Newport News:
Weekly special events & attractions program that highlights the area’s major visitor attractions, local history and city events. Produced with Parks, Recreation & Tourism.

City Produced Programs:
A weekly rotation of NNTV’s locally produced programs for the city. Various studio and special productions for different city departments and related agencies, archived special productions, department overviews and important city information.
City Council Agenda:
A bi-weekly preview of the upcoming City Council agenda. Four scheduled daily plays, Friday PM – Tuesday PM starting on the Friday prior to the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting and many additional exposures on NNTV’s Bulletin Board, 24 hour a day.
Military News:
Rotating Military News programs produced by the Department of Defense. “Navy & Marine Corps News,” “Air Force News” from Armed Forces Television & “Army Newswatch.” These programs will rotate through their time periods on a weekly basis.
Outside Programs:
A weekly rotation of the numerous educational, informative and high quality programs that are provided by outside sources. “Down Home Virginia,” “Virginia Cooperative Extension,” “Workplace Essentials,” etc. These programs are scheduled as time and programming allows and will be pre-empted for Public Meetings and important local information.
