Summer Youth Employment Program
The Summer Youth Employment Program is for youth between the ages of 16-24 who meet the eligibility requirements set in the Workforce Investment Act. This Act is part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, which was signed by President Obama on Feb. 17, 2009.
To be eligible for this program, youth must meet the following requirements:
- Age 16-24 AND
- US Citizen or Eligible Non-Citizen AND
- Registered with Selective Service (if applicable) AND
- Low income AND
- Has one or more of the following barriers
- Behind in school credits for age/grade
- Behind in grade level
- Basic skills deficient
- Juvenile offender
- Pregnant or parenting
- School dropout
- Homeless, runaway, or foster child

Please bring the following documents:
- Driver's license/DMV ID
- Social Security Card
- Birth Certificate
- Three most recent paystubs
- Award letters/printouts for any type of public assistance (TAND, SSI, Food Stamps, Foster Care Payments, etc.)
- Documentation of your barrier (court order stating foster care, etc)
