LIBRARY PAGE AND LIBRARY TECHNICIAN (Part‑time and Temporary) Selections for positions of part‑time and temporary Library Pages and Library Technician I may be made from an established register. Placement on the register requires successful completion of an alpha‑numeric screening. Only those applicants completing the alpha‑numeric screening with no more than 4 errors will be considered as applicants for the position (s) for which they apply. Applications will remain on the register for one year. Advertising for the positions will be done on an as‑needed basis. A copy of the alpha‑numeric skills test study guide can be obtained from the Human Resources Department and Library Branches. Interested applicants are asked to show‑up at the specified locations on dates and times listed. Library Page ($7.25 p/hr.) Performs routine work in Library. Duties include shelving books, ensuring shelves are in proper order and assisting patrons with magazines and microfilm. Must be 16 years old. Requires an acceptable background check. Library Technician ($10.50 p/hr.) Performs routine to responsible clerical work associated with Library operation. Duties may include providing routine information and assistance to patrons, routine typing, simple filing, and shelving books. Basic knowledge of computer keyboard required. Requires any combination of education and experience equivalent to an Associate’s degree in Arts or Sciences. Some experience in the delivery of customer services that utilizes communication and data entry skills is required. Requires an acceptable background check. The City will make a reasonable effort to accommodate persons with disabilities in the application, testing, and/or interview process.
