Battle of the Books
Battle of the Books is an annual event hosted by the Newport News Public Library System in collaboration with the Williamsburg Regional Library. Area school team compete by answering questions on books they have read. The program is open to students in grades 4-8.
Battle of the Books is an annual event hosted by the Newport News Public Library System in collaboration with the Williamsburg Regional Library. Area school teams compete by answering questions on books they have read. The program is open to students grades 4-8.
Practice sessions are held in January and February at public library branches to prepare students for the actual competition. For more information, talk to your school librarian or speak with someone at the Youth Services desk at a Newport News Public Library.
