The Newport News Public Library System’s Business Information Center will provide resources and workshops to assist with the start up and operation of a nonprofit organization, finding grant opportunities, and financial literacy.

Nonprofit organizations confront many of the same challenges as for-profit organizations: attracting investment, hiring and realigning skilled employees, controlling quality, marketing and maintaining a competitive advantage. They accomplish this however, with fewer resources than their for-profits counterparts.
