The following equipment and services are available at various branches of the Newport News Public Library System. 

• Fax Machines - are available at the Grissom, Main Street, Pearl Bailey, and West Ave. libraries. It costs $1.50 to send the first page of an outgoing fax and $1.00 for each additional page (domestic faxes only). International faxes costs $4.95 for the first page and $3.45 for each additional page. The fax machine will accept credit and debit cards and pre-paid fax cards which can be purchased at the circulation desk. Sorry, you cannot receive any faxes on these machines. 

• Photocopy Machines - are available at the Grissom, Main Street, Pearl Bailey, and West Ave. libraries. Copies are .15 each. Some machines will accept $1.00 bills, so be sure and bring proper change. Credit and debit cards are not accepted. A photocopy machine is also available at the  Public Law Library. Copies are .20 each. 

• Microfilm Reader/Printer - available in the Virginiana Room at the Main Street Library and at the Grissom Library. It costs .15 per page. Please be sure and bring enough change, especially if you plan on making a lot of copies. Change available from staff is limited.  

• Notary Services - available at the West Ave. Library and Public Law Library. Notary service is free with a picture ID and is available at

       M, W, Fr : 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
       
       Public Law Library:
       M-F : 8 am - 12:00 pm, 1:00 - 4:30 pm

Please be sure to call the library before visiting to make sure a notary is available.
