We are saddened to inform you that after more than 20 years of service the Bookmobile will be discontinued effective June 28th. Budgetary constraints and the high cost of maintenance for the aging vehicle led to this decision. It is our goal to fill any gap created by the loss of the Bookmobile with existing Library programs and services.
The Bookmobile will continue to operate through the month of May. In June, it will accept only returned materials on its regular stops. The Bookmobile will no longer operate after June 28, 2012.
Renovations at Main Street Library Underway!
Main Street Library is undergoing renovations throughout May. The Second Floor of the Library will reopen May 24th. Please visit our Facebook and Press Room pages for detailed information.

Nikki Giovanni, the award-winning author of more than 30 volumes of poetry and prose, will present an author talk and book signing, 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 4, on the campus of Thomas Nelson Community College in Hampton. *The event is free to the public, but tickets are required.* |

As part of the 2012 Adult Summer Reading Program, each NNPLS Library will host a Local Authors’ Day. Participating published and self-published authors will have a table set up to sell and sign books and talk to patrons. |

Coming Soon - eBooks! Starting this Summer, the NNPLS will offer eBooks via the Overdrive library lending service. Users may browse the library’s website, check out with a valid library card, and download to PC, Mac®, and many mobile devices. |
