- Only the parent(s), legal guardian(s), and grandparent(s) are allowed to visit. Visitors will be required to show proof of identification.
- Each POD is allotted 30 minutes for visitation.
- Visitors will report to the Auxiliary Control Room to check in. After processing at this station (to include wand search), authorized visitors will be instructed to enter the visitation room. Cellphones, keys, purses, coats, and other itemsmust be stored in a locker outside of the visitation room.
- The Newport News Juvenile Detention Center reserves the right to refuse visitation to anyone under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
*Residents with children must contact the Supervisor on Duty to schedule visitation.
