Tuition Reimbursement Summary

The course must:

Directly relate to the employee's current job.

Be required to fulfill specific requirements for a degree related to the employee's current job.

Increase the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities relative to their current job.

Enhance the employee's advancement opportunities with the City.
Other provisions, requirements and limitations are specified in City policy.
Employees will be reimbursed for 100% of tuition for approved courses, provided courses are taken at a state supported college or university and the employee completes the course with a grade of C or better (or passing for pass/fail courses). Courses taken at other institutions may be reimbursed not to exceed the state college rate.
