Smoke Alarm Form

Newport News Fire Department Smoke Alarm Installation

Working smoke alarms saves lives!  If you are a Newport News homeowner, you can apply to have a free, ionization type smoke alarm(s) installed at no cost.  Ionization smoke alarms work quicker in detecting fast, flaming fires.  It is recommended that you also install photoelectric alarms that are quicker in detecting smoldering, smoky fires.   If you rent, your landlord is legally responsible for supplying working smoke alarm(s).   Please fill out this form completely.
