Description
This portion of Route 60 is proposed to be relocated along a new alignment to the southwest of the present alignment.  In Newport News, the realignment would begin at the Fort Eustis Boulevard interchange and extend through a preserved corridor in Oakland Industrial Park.  As the Project crosses Skiff's Creek into James City County, it is proposed to go through the Green Mount Industrial Park and then reconnect to Route 60 in James City County.

Status:
James City County with VDOT and the City of Newport News as partners are pursuing this project as a Public-Private Transportation Act (PPTA) project.  Funding is presently available for preliminary engineering and right-of-way.
