General Notes for Erosion and Sediment Control when submitting a plan
These are directions for all site, subdivision, and land-disturbing activity plans submitted to the City of Newport News.
Both Erosion and Sediment Control ‘General Notes’ and ‘State Minimum Standards’ must be included on every plan submitted to the City. The applicant may strike out any minimum standard that does not apply directly to the submitted plan, but must still be seen on the submission. The City will accept no other versions of E&S Notes or Minimum Standards for plan review. The document for the General Notes and Minimum Standards can be obtained from city staff in Microsoft Word document via e-mail if requested.
