Port Warwick
A few words on Port Warwick.
Port Warwick was Hampton Roads' first experiment with New Urbanism and has been a tremendous success for developer Bobby Freeman. It is a livable, walkable community inspired by the best of European models of mixed-use development.
Port Warwick highlights numerous public spaces liberally enhanced by public art. World-renowned artists specializing in three-dimensional works are commissioned to make Port Warwick a unique destination for shopping and dining out, as well as an interesting place to call home. Styron Square, with its large open space and pavilion set at its centerpiece, provides a focal point for Port Warwick and a landmark for the larger community. It's also a great place to enjoy the scheduled concerts featuring local, regional and nationally recognized artists.
Part of the success of Port Warwick has been the wide variety of living options available, including single-family homes, duplexes, live-work units, a luxury retirement center, apartments and condominiums.
