Priscilla S. Bele has been employed in the Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue since 1988. She served as Chief Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue before her election to serve as the Commissioner of the Revenue commencing January 1, 2010.

Ms. Bele is a 1981 graduate of Christopher Newport University and is a CPA. She is a 2001 graduate of the Leadership Institute of the Virginia Peninsula Chamber of Commerce. She is designated as a Master Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue from the Weldon Cooper Center at the University of Virginia and is a Certified Business License Administrator by the National Association of Business License Administrators.

Ms. Bele is a member of the Commissioners of the Revenue Association, Virginia Association of Locally Elected Officers, Virginia Association of Assessing Officers, International Association of Assessing Officers, National Association of Business License Administrators and the Virginia Association of Local Tax Auditors. She is a past Director of the Virginia Association of Assessing Officers.
