 The Office of the Commissioner of the Revenue is responsible for the assessment of various taxes mandated by the Code of Virginia and Newport News Local Tax Ordinances. Our office also offers, as a free service to Taxpayers, assistance in filing their Virginia State Income Tax Return.  Our office is also happy to announce that we are now providing DMV Select services at both of our Newport News locations between the hours of 8:30am and 4:00pm Monday - Friday.  We seek to provide efficient service and friendly assistance in the performance of these many duties.

 Please feel free to email your questions, comments, and suggestions to us. Our Office Personnel will be happy to respond to you within 5 business days of your inquiry
