The City Manager's Office provides leadership and administration of the day to day operations of the City of Newport News. Working closely with the City Council and citizens, the Office ensures that quality services and programs are available to meet the needs of our citizens and the business community. With a population of over 180,000 residents plus 3,500 businesses, Acting City Manager Neil A. Morgan oversees the City's operations with more than 3,600 employees and an annual operating budget of $746 million.
