NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Pursuant to ' 15.2-1800 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, the Newport News City Council will hold a public hearing concerning the approval of a lease to Virginia Hospitality Services, Inc., on October 27, 2009, at 7:30 p.m., or as soon thereafter as the item may be heard at the Newport News Council Chambers, 2400 Washington Avenue, Newport News, Virginia. 

The property to be leased is the Deer Run Restaurant Clubhouse, a storeroom in the golf cart building and the snack bar area and building located on the golf course, all located at 901 Clubhouse Way, Newport News, Virginia 23608.  The tenant shall pay the costs of this advertisement.

City Council encourages interested persons to attend the meeting and express their views on this issue.  Questions concerning this matter may be directed to the Newport News Department of Parks, Recreation and Tourism at 926-1400.

Meeting Times: The Newport News City Council regularly meets at 7:30 p.m. on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month to take official action on matters brought before it. A prefatory meeting is held at 7:00 p.m. prior to the regular Council meeting for the purpose of making and accepting presentations. Council meetings are held in the City Council Chambers located behind City Hall at 2400 Washington Avenue, unless otherwise noted.

Work Sessions for City Council are held on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month prior to the regular City Council meeting in the City Council Conference Room on the 10th floor of City Hall at 2400 Washington Avenue, unless otherwise noted.
