I. Edwards - Requested City's assistance in having C. Waldo Scott Center restore her family name to the trust that she established for scholarships - referred to City Attorney.
S. Jones - Suggested that the City has failed to honor its obligation to keep Deep Creek Pier. Suggested rebuilding the pier with existing funds.
L. Vaughn - Opposed to funding Sister Cities activities. Inquired about Brown property disposition at Turlington and Deep Creek Roads. Suggested that there was "fat" in the City's Transportation Budget. Inquired about why crews are tearing up the crosswalks at Warwick Boulevard/Avenue of the Arts intersection.
D. Henry - requested City Council to resist the urge to "take" property to accommodate parking at the former Deep Creek Pier site.
C. Hogge - Requested City records under FOIA regarding ownership of Deep Creek Pier property.
A. Pulliam - Inquired about disposition of Brown property at Turlington and Deep Creek Roads, and the intended future use of the improvements. Recommended a bulk-head with public area at former Deep Creek Pier.
C. Powell - Requested replacement of the Deep Creek Pier.
K. Wynn - Welcomed new Councilmembers. Recognized positive contributions by current and past community leaders. Advised of Jazz festival this weekend at King Lincoln Park.
K. Place - Urged Newport News Waterworks to undertake more water conservation measures. Advised of new website that has water conservation and reservoir opposition information. Expressed his continued opposition to the King William Reservoir project.

Scott - Explained the reasoning for her "yes vote" for the $20 million Water Revenue Bond issue. Advised of forthcoming "Field of Dreams" Program at Boys and Girls Club. Advised of next North District Town hall Meeting on August 25, 2008.
Vick - Requested citizen support of forthcoming Southeast Community Annual Parade.
