Item 13. Citizen Comments on Matters Germane to the Business of City Council

 

J. DeMaria - Urged City Council to honor its commitment to consider a replacement pier for the demolished Deep Creek Pier.

 

- requested a video or audio address to City Council concerning the Deep Creek Pier by a Mr. Melzar who is disabled.

 

S. Melzer - Spoke on behalf of her granddad regarding the original commitment by the City to maintain the Deep Creek Pier.

 

A. Harris - Expressed her opposition to the City ordinance that prohibits the development of 25 foot lots. Requested reconsideration or providing a grandfather exemption. City Attorney will provide a report to City Council.

 

C. Hogge - Presented pictures of Deep Creek harbor. Inquired about the “transfer date.”

 

C. Powell - Expressed concern about the danger for fishermen using the Menchville wharf.

 

P. Devereur - Provided a report on Beechmont Recreation Association pool operations using the City’s new program. Requested the City to consider raising the financial allotment for each participating pool.

 

P. Killebrew - Advised of RETRO forum scheduled for 7:00 p.m. on October 29 at Warwick High School. Invited participation by candidates running for public office.

Item 14. New Business and Councilmember Comments

 

City Attorney - Advised of City’s Halloween regulations.

 

Frank - Advised of Jack Carper’s recent death and expressed his condolences to the Carper family.

 
Haskins - Inquired about the status of the Glendale drainage project.

Commented favorably about the anticipated revenue to the Hidenwood Recreation Association from the proposed new cell Tower lease.

  

McMillan - Urged citizens to be on the lookout for children during Halloween.
